Daughter Bea takes Paul on a wild ride in the Tomorrowland Speedway at Magic Kingdom

School Vacation week found Paul, Nancy and his 8 year old daughter Bea in Orlando for 3 days. They were there visiting Nancy's son Arlen who is a student at Rollins College in Winter Park, Fla.
While there, Paul and Nancy took Bea to Disney World and Universal Studios for some fun.

Several people had Paul sightings while at Disney. They were seen on Splash Mountain and at Casey's.

While at Disney, they took advantage of the VIP Tour guides- $300/hr ( with a 6 hour minimum) and up to 10 people with the guide.
All travel within the parks is through the backstage areas, so they are able to avoid the crowds.
The guide takes you directly onto the rides, either to the front of the fastpass line or through the exit.
You also get reserved seating at the shows and are escorted to your seats just as the show is starting.
Now that is the way to do Disney!

Paul and Nancy lay flowers for Whitney

Feb. 13, 2012

One day after the Grammy's, Paul and Nancy were seen quickly and quietly paying their respects to the recently deceased Whitney Houston. They  layed a bouquet of yellow roses at a makeshift shrine outside of the Beverly Hilton where Whitney died on Sat, Feb 11, as she was getting ready for Clive Davis'  pre-Grammy party.

A few people at the shrine attempted to congratulate Paul for his Grammy performance, but Paul replied that this was about Whitney, not him.

After laying the flowers and blowing a kiss, Paul and Nancy drove off in Paul's blue corvette.

Paul and Nancy at the Grammys

February 12, 2012

Paul and Nancy attended the Grammys on Sunday night where Paul received a standing ovation for his heartfelt performance of My Valentine and closed the show with a rocking Abbey Road Medley, capped by a guitar jam with Bruce Springsteen, Joe Walsh, David Grohl, and Macca's fellow bandmembers Rusty Anderson and Brian Ray.

There was no sign of them on the red carpet, but here they are arriving at the event, looking quite nice.

Paul and Nancy chatted  with Chris Martin before taking their seats in the front row.

They rocked out to Bruce Springsteen~

Stevie Wonder came out on stage, and started playing Love Me Do on harmonica- as the crowd started to sing along, he introduced Paul McCartney!

The lights went up to reveal Paul McCartney,  elegantly attired in a white tux, sitting on a stool sans guitar, surrounded by a full orchestra.
He sang  his new song, "My Valentine",  accompanied by Diana Krall on piano, Joe Walsh on guitar, and the orchestra.
It was a flawless performance, just gorgeous, and Paul finished to a standing ovation.

After his performance,  Paul joined Nancy back in the audience, and joined her in a little kiss.

They enjoyed the rest of the show, dancing, applauding, and having a good time with friends Joe and Marjorie Walsh.

Then Paul and his band closed the show with the classic Abbey Road Medley of Golden Slumbers, Carry that Weight, and The End. Everyone was on their feet , rocking along with Paul. During The End, Paul and band were joined onstage by Bruce Springsteen, Joe Walsh , and David Grohl for an amazingly energetic guitar frenzy . Those guys are having way too much fun up there!!!
What a way to close the show!!!  Paul is still THE MAN!!!!!  Or as LL Cool J shouted out at the beginning of the show, Paul is O.G.!!  ( Original Gangsta!!)

Following their closing performance at Sunday night's  Grammy Awards, Sir Paul McCartney and Bruce Springsteen made their way to the Foo Fighters' after-party at Fig & Olive Melrose Place. No sooner did they get there than Johnny Depp arrived and grabbed a glass of wine and a seat in the lounge, cordially greeting friends and fans.

At one point, McCartney approached Depp and mimicked his signature Pirates of the CaribbeanCaptain Jack Sparrow walk – which resulted in lots of laughter. Depp then joined the former Beatle and his wife for dinner; McCartney, a vegetarian, stuck to dishes like the spaghetti Mediterraneano and vegetarian paella. By the end of the evening, fast friends McCartney, Springsteen and Depp were seen discussing the night's big awards and all the winners.

Paul and band play at MusiCares Gala

A packed house of 2500 guests to honor Paul McCartney

Paul accepts the MusiCares "Person of the Year" award from Neil Portnow,

President of the National Academy of Recording Arts and Sciences

"It's great for me to be here,"Paul told the crowd. "“For me obviously, it’s fantastic to hear all these fantastic artists singing my songs and making them sound so beautiful... putting nuances on the songs I didn't know were there."

Coldplay tweeted before the Gala:

And it looks like they chose "We Can Work it Out"!

Cirque after performing selection from Love

Everyone on their feet for Sir Paul!
From the Salt Lake Tribune- read entire blog HERE
"But the best part of the whole night was the two-hour concert that concluded all of the festivities. After a five-minute sliver of "Love" from Cirque du Soleil, Paul and his band opened with "Magical Mystery Tour" and "Junior's Farm," and then he left the stage, replaced by the Foo Fighters, who performed an aggressive version of "Jet." Next, it was Alicia Keys on piano for a simple "Blackbird," followed by Alison Krauss. Then it was Tony Bennett on "Here, There and Everywhere," followed by Duane Eddy on "And I Love Her."
Norah Jones followed with "Oh Darling!" an then Katy Perry performed "Hey Jude" after an opening snippet of "Live and Let Die." Neil Young and Crazy Horse continued the show with a raucous "I Saw Her Standing There," and then Sergio Mendes delivered "Fool on the Hill." Coldplay next played "We Can Work It Out" as if it were an out-take from Dylan's "John Wesley Harding" album. James Taylor and Diana Krall then teamed up for "Yesterday" and "For No One."
Paul then returned to the stage, and with Krall still on the piano (she and her band are the backing band on his new album) and Joe Walsh on the guitar, dedicated "My Valentine" to his bride, and then performed a jazzy take on "Kisses on the Bottom."
He then jumped onto the piano for a Wings song, and then closed the night with the undeniable highlight: an amended version of side two of "Abbey Road," his song suite that ended with the classic and famous line, "In the end, the love you take is equal to the love you make." He was joined on the final guitar jam by Walsh and Dave Grohl, and it ended a show that you wish everyone could have seen. I hope somebody recorded it and sells it one day."
